Are you looking for a holiday destination where you can take your furred or feathered friend? Does a holiday just seem "not quite right" if your best buddy isn't along too?
Or are you having trouble finding someone reliable to look after your pet while you are on holiday, especially for an extended break? Or perhaps your beloved pet frets if you are not home, or is scared of strangers. Or maybe you just can't afford, or don't like the idea, of boarding kennels.
Finding pet friendly accommodation, where your pet is welcome, may be just what you need. But this is sometimes easier said than done! Luckily, many accommodation owners understand the wish, or need, to bring your pet with you on holiday, and go out of their way to make your pet's holiday experience just as much a pleasure as your own.
What kind of a place do you want to stay at? Do you prefer pet friendly caravan parks? Maybe a pet friendly hotel or motels? What about a et friendly apartment? A pet friendly B&B? Or a pet friendly rental house or cottage? Or maybe some real luxury pet friendly accommodation is more your style!
We have provided a small sample of accommodation which welcomes pets, at the end of this article, to give you a starting point.

Some locations will allow you to have your pets inside- but usually ask that they not be allowed on beds, couches etc- as long as they are clean and free of fleas etc. Vaccination certificates are usually required, especially if there are other animals on the premises. Some venues may require dogs to be kept outside, but usually provide a safe, dry, protected place for sleeping. Kennels or special dog runs may be provided at some places, while some allow dogs to run freely. While some places have limits on pet size, type, or exclude certain breeds or noisy pets, others allow pretty much anything.
You will be expected to keep your pet under control, often on a leash in certain areas, and not allow it to cause a nuisance to property, other animals, or people, and it is naturally your responsibility to clean up after it. At certain places charge you may be charged an extra fee per night, or a cleaning fee, for your pets.
