If you are like many of us going on holiday, and are worried about leaving your pampered pet at home, you would probably feel happiest staying at pet friendly holiday accommodation, such as a pet friendly rental house, unit ot motel. Check out our list of pet friendly accommodation at the end of this article.
Do you feel that your pet is just as much a part of the family as you are, and therefore deserving of a break away, just like you? Do you hate the idea of leaving her with strangers, or concerned he will fret without you?

What kind of holiday accommodation are you looking for? A pet friendly caravan park, where you can pitch a tent, or park a van? Or maybe a pet friendly hotel or motel, with room service and perhaps a pool? A pet friendly apartment, where you and your pal can take it easy? A pet friendly B&B, where your hosts cater to your needs? Or one of many pet friendly rental houses or cottages, with room to spread out? There are even real luxury pet friendly accommodation locations, for those who want something special!

Most pet friendly accommodation places allow you to have your pets inside, as long as they are clean and free of pests, but usually ask that they be kept off beds, couches etc. You will possibly be required to produce a current vaccination certificate, especially if there are other animals on the premises. Some places may not allow dogs inside (so make sure that you check this with the owner), but often have a safe, protected place for your pet to sleep. Some have kennels, special dog runs, or wide open spaces where dogs are able to run freely. At certain places pets of almost any kind are welcome, while others limit type, size, or exclude certain breeds or noisy anti-social pets.
Naturally, you will be expected to keep your pet under control, often on a leash in certain areas, and not allow it to cause a nuisance to other animals, people, or to cause any damage It is your responsibility to clean up after your pet. You may be charged a per night fee for your pet, or a cleaning charge.
