South Australia boasts some magnificent National Parks, well worth extended exploration. An accommodation base in the Park not only makes this easier, but enhances your Park stay by allowing you to feel a part of the environment itself and experience it at all times of day and night.
Below are some of the accommodation options available, some run by DEH, others privately operated:
Cottages, cabins etc are mostly self contained with full facilities, although a few are more basic.
Camping sites are often very basic- some will have toilets, water, maybe picnic tables and BBQ, but others will not.
There's bound to be somewhere to suit most tastes... and budgets!

Para Wirra Recreation Park
Mock Creek Hut
A basic galvanized iron hut, suitable for bushwalkers, birdwatchers etc. It has limited facilities including a toilet, cooking facilities and picnic table. The hut is set amongst gums and sleeps 8.

Martindale Hall
A heritage listed Georgian mansion with an interesting history located in the Clare Valley. This mansion was used as a location for the girls boarding school in the movie Picnic at Hanging Rock. Several bedrooms are available for overnight accommodation. Guests can relive a bygone era in sumptuous surroundings, wander the rooms furnished in the era, dine in the elegant dining room... even bathe in old style baths.
