| SWIMMING POOLS AUSTRALIA
Imagine yourself easing your body into a lovely, refreshing swimming pool on a hot day... or leaping straight in! Clear water sparkling invitingly.
But swimming pools need not only be for hot weather. Heated pools make swimming fun at any time. Being in a pool while it's raining is actually quite a delicious experience! Pools can be heated electrically, or special solar heating covers can be used to heat water at least while there is some sun around.
Research on the internet is a great way to discover what is available, without having to chase around various swimming pool retailers. Once you have a good idea of what you think will be suitable for your needs, you can make a personal visit to the appropriate dealer.
Wading Pools
Wading pools are shallow, usually fairly small pools, so ideal for limited space. These are great for little ones who can't swim yet, or just a good spot to cool off. Wadding pools are often inflatable, although they are also available in solid side with plastic liner varieties.
Above Ground Swimming Pools
These usually consist of a solid side framework, with plastic liner. Pool depth varies, usually from about 3 feet to 5 feet. Above ground pools are commonly round or oval. Good for families for general swimming and splashing! These pools are not usually suited to diving etc, as they are not of a safe depth.
Inground Swimming Pools
Inground pools come in a wide variety of sizes and shapes, from the simple rectangle to fancy lagoon styles. They usually have a shallow end, gradually increasing to a deep end of 6 feet or more. They are great for just fun, or for more serious swimming. Diving is usually safe in the deep end, but always check what the current safe recommended depth is.
Inground pools also may have spa pools installed along with them.
Swim Spas
Swim spas are large size spa pools, which use pumped water to produce a current against which the swimmer can swim. They are great for exercise and hydrotherapy for recovery from injury. They take up much less room that a swimming pool, so may be a good option for those with a small back yard.
When considering a swimming pool it is very important to pay close attention to swimming pool sizes, swimming pools for limited space or pools for a small yard need careful consideration for the pool type, pool styles, and its surroundings.
