In this mother (and/or father) and baby guide I will give you several points of information about baby prams that may help to guide you if you are looking at buying a baby pram for your own baby or as a gift for new parents.
A good pram is an esential part of life for a new baby and its parents.
Prams have been used for hundreds of years all over the world as the mobile baby carrier of choice. Whether it be a baby stroller, a baby carriage, a 3 wheeled all terrain pram or a hybrid pram, it is the most comfortable way for you to get out and about with your baby.
Most baby prams are easy to fold and portable so that they can travel in your car when required making them ideal for long distances.
WHEN WOULD YOU BUY A PRAM?
Ideally, I would suggest you would buy a pram either some time before the birth of your expectant child or shortly after, depending when you first expect to use your new pram.
Some mothers may not take their baby out in a pram in the first little while, and others will use them straight away.
| I find buying a pram is a highly personal thing and ideally you will buy the pram for your baby. |
WHICH BABY PRAM TO BUY?
When you are ready to buy a pram, the pram you buy will depend on a few deciding factors. These factors include considerations such as;
- Do you need an easy fold pram, that is, a pram that will fold easily and fit into your car (for example)?
- Do you need a lightweight pram? Will you be walking a lot with your child and pram or taking it on public transport? You will soon find that a lightweight pram will be a much easier prospect for baby and for you. Also consider a lightweight stroller.
- Do you need a baby pram that is portable? A pram that will go wherever you go. All terrain prams (3 wheeled prams) are designed to go over all terrains and are often used as jogging prams because of their versatility.

Also, a pram is a good way for you to get out of the house with your new baby.
| Often, if you are having trouble getting your baby to sleep, I find a brisk walk in the pram will successfully cause your little one to drop off! This can be a life saver to many sleep deprived parents! |
WHERE DO I BUY A BABY PRAM?
Baby prams can be bought from many baby item retailers or department stores.
However, they can often be bought online for a much better price.
