** The Xbox 360 external hard disk drive connector has also been changed for an internal bay for use with a 'proprietary hard drive;' this is not a standard hdd nor compatible with older xbox models. Other hardware changes include the use of one larger cooling fan compared to the previous Xbox 360 models (which used two smaller fans) and the design of the air vents, which are like those used on the original Xbox. The new xbox 360 models are to be marketed solely by the amount of included hdd storage they have, similar to current models of its main competitor the PlayStation 3.
