MP3 PLAYERS
Digital audio MP3 players are devices that store, organise and play digital music files. They are more commonly referred to as an MP3 players (because of the format's universal use), but MP3 players often play many additional file formats. Some formats are proprietary, such as MP3, Windows Media Audio (WMA), and Advanced Audio Codec (AAC). Other formats are completely patent-free or otherwise open, such as Ogg Vorbis, FLAC, and Speex.
MP3 players are extrememly popular due to the convenience of taking a large amount of music or audio (and sometime other files such as video and photos) with you at any time.
MP3 PLAYER DEVICES
MP3 players are an entertainment device that is easy to use for those times when you want your tunes on-the-run.
Some MP3 players come with additional functionality in the way of FM radio, recording and sometime photo or video playback on the MP3 player screen. MP3 players come with either monochrome (one colour) or colour screens. Some MP3 players have no screen and play songs in order or shuffled.
MP3 PLAYER CONSIDERATIONS
When considering an MP3 player you should compare storage size (ie. 512 MB, 1 Gb, 20 Gb - the more storage the more music you can store on your MP3 player) as well as ease of use of the MP3 player and also whether you NEED a colour screen or voice recording and FM radio - the more options the quicker your MP3 player may run out its battery life.
When you compare MP3 players you should look at cheap MP3 players and expensive MP3 players and compare MP3 features that you require to find the best MP3 player that is suitable for you and your specific MP3 player needs.
MP3 Players for Christmas or MP4 Playes for Christmas
MP3 Players have been some of the most popular christmas gifts in Australia for the last several years and it looks again like mp3 players will be around the top of the christmas list again this year!
Mp3 players are getting bigger in storage capacity every year. Mp3 Players can have storage that is on built in solid state memory, hard drives or memory cards.
Popular MP3 players include Apple iPod touch and iPod nano, though the Apple iPod shuffle also sells well as a budget MP3 player.
There are many other MP3 player brands of course other than the highly promoted apple. Many of these other brand MP3 players produce better quality sound and have more features built in, so it definately pays to look around at as many online shops as you can to find the best deal for you and dont just settle for an ipod when you could get so much more bang for your mp3 buying buck! :)
These days it also pays to look into mp4 players, music players that also have screens that play video and photos (and some play flash games!) if your budget stretches that for or if your looking ofr something at the slightly more fancy end in portable music gadgetry. Here you could look into the Cowon D2 which is a excellent choice of mp4 player (I've had 2 of them) and is also a touch screen mp4 player!
When it comes to mp3 players or mp4 players, make sure you have all the neccesary accessories as well, such as extra storage cards (if your mp3 player or mp4 player takes them), a power charger (these are always faster and better than USB chargers that charge at 5v off of your PC. It doesn't hurt if your going away, to take an extras pair of headphones as well, just in case you break the ones your using. Of course if your player needs batteries then extra batteries or rechargable batteries and a charger will be the go :)
