Based on the epic graphic novel by Frank Miller, 300 is a ferocious retelling of the ancient Battle of Thermopylae in which King Leonidas (Gerard Butler) and 300 Spartans fought to the death against Xerxes and his massive Persian army.

300 is a visually stunning piece of movie making. Writer-director Zack Snyder has made an amazing transformation from Frank Miller's graphic novel 300 to the cinematic big screen.
The film makes great use of colour to stylise the graphic story and to enhance the mood.
300 is a story recreating the Battle of Thermophylae where 300 spartans made a heroic stand against the Persian army.
The visuals are very graphic and there is plenty of blood in some amazingly choreographed fight and battle scenes. For this type of film the acting is also of a high calibur, which is a bonus.
300 is a movie that I highly recommend for anyone who likes a visually stunning action story.
